Supply is the hard side
Customers arrive when there is something to book. Providers join when there are customers. Every marketplace resolves that in the same direction — make the supply side worth using on its own, so a salon keeps its calendar in the platform whether or not the booking came through it.
Duration is not uniform
A trim, a colour and a treatment consume different amounts of a stylist's day, and often a different stylist. Modelling the service rather than the slot is what makes the availability shown to a customer match the availability the salon actually has.
