HR & payroll
HR software built for how Indian businesses actually run payroll.
Brihat PeopleDesk runs on your own server — not a shared cloud. Attendance, leave, payroll accurate to the rupee, and everything your CA needs to file, without the enterprise-suite bloat or the spreadsheet risk.

Built for 10–500 people, not 10,000
Most HR software is either an enterprise suite sized for a company ten times your headcount, or a spreadsheet held together with hope. Neither runs payroll compliance correctly at MSME scale. Brihat PeopleDesk is built specifically for that gap.
Attendance & leave, without the fight
Check-in/out, regularisation requests, a manager approval queue, shift and holiday configuration, leave types, balances, carry-forward, encashment and comp-off — all IST-aware by design, so cut-offs and payroll periods land on the correct Indian calendar day.

Payroll accurate to the rupee
Salary structures, monthly runs, password-protected payslip PDFs, bank-transfer CSV export, Form 16 Part B, and Form 24Q Annexure I/II CSVs generated for your CA to file. Money is handled as integer paise internally — no floating-point rounding drift, ever.

Onboarding and offer letters, done properly
Offer letter generation with a real e-signature flow, document collection, and DPDP/background-check consent capture — before day one, not scrambled together after.

Exits and settlement, not a last-minute spreadsheet
Clearance checklists and full-and-final settlement, including gratuity, handled the same way every time.

Everything else, covered
Document vault
Every employee document, in one place, access-controlled.
Versioned policies
Publish a policy update and track who's acknowledged it.
Asset tracking
Issue and return tracking with straight-line depreciation.
HR reports & audit
Real reporting plus a genuine audit trail, not bolted on after the fact.
Backup & restore
Built into the product, not a separate script someone has to remember to run.
Your server. Your data. Not next to anyone else's.
Brihat PeopleDesk is single-tenant — every installation runs on your own server, with your own database. Your payroll and employee data never sits in the same database as another company's. Licensed with online activation and a heartbeat check, with a 72-hour offline grace period so a brief connectivity blip never halts HR operations.
Five roles, each seeing only what they need
Owner
Full visibility across the company.
HR
Runs the day-to-day people operations.
Finance
Payroll and audit visibility — no HR actions.
Manager
Their own team's leave and attendance approvals.
Employee
Their own record, payslips, and leave.

Questions
Is this cloud or on-premise?
On-premise. Brihat PeopleDesk runs on your own server — single-tenant, so your company's data never sits in the same database as anyone else's.
Does it handle biometric attendance devices?
Not in this release — attendance today is check-in/out through the browser, with a manager approval queue for regularisation.
Does it file our taxes for us?
It computes TDS correctly, generates Form 16 Part B, and exports the Annexure I/II CSVs your CA needs — the actual government filing is done by your chartered accountant, as is normal practice.
What happens if our internet drops?
A 72-hour offline grace period means a brief connectivity blip doesn't halt HR operations — licensing uses a heartbeat check, not a constant live connection.
Who can see what?
Five roles — Owner, HR, Finance, Manager, Employee — each seeing only what's relevant to them.
