Western India

Where the regulator is down the road.

Custom platforms for banks, NBFCs, insurers and capital-markets firms in Mumbai — built for RBI outsourcing directions, payment data localisation and an auditor who reads logs.

The short answer

Brihat Infotech serves Mumbai remotely with scheduled on-site phases, from offices in Noida and Ranchi. The work here is almost entirely BFSI, where RBI's outsourcing directions and the 2018 payment-data localisation circular are design constraints that decide the architecture before the requirement does.

We do not have an office in Mumbai.

Remote-first with scheduled on-site phases. Discovery workshops and phase gates are run in person in Mumbai; build and run happen from Noida and Ranchi. We are explicit that there is no Mumbai office, because a BFSI procurement team will verify it.

The market

What makes Mumbai different.

Mumbai is where India's financial regulation is enforced, not just written — RBI, SEBI, NPCI and the exchanges are all here, along with the head offices of most banks, insurers and asset managers. That proximity changes the buyer. A Mumbai BFSI engagement is evaluated by someone who has sat through an RBI inspection, and the questions in the second meeting are about data residency, audit rights and exit, not about velocity.

Regulation

What actually shapes a build in Maharashtra.

Not a compliance checklist — the specific rules that decide architecture, retention and reporting before a requirement is written.

RBI outsourcing directions

Govern what a technology vendor may access, what audit rights the regulated entity must retain, and what happens at exit. These belong in the contract before the architecture is agreed.

Payment data localisation

RBI's 2018 circular requires payment system data to be stored only in India. It decides your cloud region, your backup topology and your disaster-recovery design — and it is the single most common thing a non-Indian vendor gets wrong.

SEBI regulations

For capital-markets participants, system audit, business continuity and cyber-resilience obligations with prescribed reporting.

NPCI certification

UPI, NACH and IMPS integrations are certified, not merely built. The certification calendar, not the sprint plan, sets the release date.

The estate

What is already in the building.

Anything new has to talk to these, and usually cannot replace them on day one.

  • Finacle, Flexcube and BaNCS cores
  • Mainframe batch processing
  • NPCI rails: UPI, NACH, IMPS
  • Legacy AMC and policy administration systems

Before you ask

Questions about working with us in Mumbai.

Do you have an office in Mumbai?

No. Offices are in Noida and Ranchi. Mumbai engagements run remote-first with discovery and phase gates on site. A BFSI vendor-onboarding team will check this, so it is stated plainly rather than implied.

Can you meet payment data localisation requirements?

Yes, and it is an architecture decision rather than a hosting one. Storage, backups, disaster recovery and any analytics copy all have to stay in India, which constrains region choice, managed-service selection and vendor sub-processors from the first design session.

Have you integrated with NPCI rails?

Yes. UPI, NACH and IMPS, including the failures that are not in the documentation — the integrations page names them specifically, because that section is the credential.

Will you sign an RBI-compliant outsourcing agreement?

Yes. Audit rights, sub-processor disclosure, data residency and exit assistance are standard terms for us. The security page lists the documents a reviewer can request, and they go out under NDA usually within a working day.

Next step

Bring us the problem. We will bring the architecture.

A discovery call takes forty-five minutes. You leave with our read on the problem, the shape of the system we would propose, and a straight answer on whether we are the right team for it.

  • No sales deck
  • An engineer on the call, not an account manager
  • NDA before you share anything
