Stawik Stays identified a gap in the Indian accommodation market — affordable hostels, paying guest accommodations, and budget stays for students, working professionals, and travelers were listed inconsistently across local classified sites, WhatsApp forwards, and broker networks, with no standardization in listing quality, pricing transparency, or booking confirmation.

Prospective tenants had no way to filter by verified amenities, proximity to colleges or offices, deposit terms, or actual room availability without physically visiting each property. Property owners had no digital tool to manage inquiries, track occupancy, or collect rent digitally. Hidden deposits, undisclosed rules, and inconsistent check-in experiences drove high churn and negative word of mouth across the category.

How We Solved It

Brihat Infotech built Stawik Stays as a verified listing and booking platform for budget and mid-range accommodation. A Digital KYC Onboarding process for property owners required identity verification, property documentation, and a physical quality inspection against a standardized checklist before a listing went live. Map-Based Search allowed users to discover properties within a defined radius of their college, workplace, or preferred area — with filters for budget, room type, gender preference, amenities, and lease duration. Transparent Listing Pages showed all-inclusive pricing, deposit terms, house rules, available dates, and photo galleries — eliminating the information gaps that caused post-booking disputes. Online Booking with Escrow held the security deposit digitally and released it to the owner upon check-in confirmation, with an automated refund mechanism on cancellation. A Digital Tenancy Agreement was generated on booking and signed digitally by both parties. Owner Dashboards provided real-time occupancy tracking, inquiry management, rent collection records, and performance analytics. A Review System allowed verified tenants to rate their stay — building a reliable trust layer across the platform.
